A signature piece in the Botanica Deconstructa series, Exquisite Ascent reimagines floral forms through a rhythm of weightless ink and dense embroidery, exploring botanical life broken down and rebuilt through raw texture and intense colour.

The composition balances fluid, spontaneous alcohol ink washes with slow, dimensional thread painting in rich shades of magenta and deep purple. Sculptural clusters of new and salvaged glass beads rise from the canvas, catching shifting natural light and creating an intricate micro-topography across the surface. Requiring 90 to 100 hours of devoted hand-stitching, the reverse remains intentionally unlined to reveal the hidden architecture of thousands of knots and thread pathways.
